ABOUT
LOUIS MASCARENHAS
I’m Louis and I’m the founder of Evolve Fitness and Sports Nutrition.
I am an experienced sports nutritionist and work with both athletes and non-athletes of all ages. I have myself been a successful athlete, becoming a county, regional and national champion and competing internationally, at track & field.
Whilst studying BSc in Sports Science and MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, I developed a passion for supporting individuals to improve fitness and performance in both a sport setting as well as in their day to day lives. This unique combination of personal success and comprehensive academic background gives me the perfect understanding of how nutrition and physical training can affect an individual’s performance and general health.
After my studies I became an accredited anti-doping advisor with UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and am an accredited Sports Nutritionist on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr).
I enjoy working with people to develop individualised, evidence-based nutritional programmes through nutritional analysis and am trained in the use of anthropometry to establish body composition and somatotype.
I constantly test and re-test my nutritional advice through my personal life. Playing rugby, having a successful career as a power athlete, and completing several endurance events each year I know what it is like to want to constantly be looking to improve performance. Training for new events and challenges is something I love as it gives me the ability to push myself both physically and mentally. I am constantly adapting and exploring nutritional strategies, pushing myself to become the best I can be.
